We all need a place to belong. I was fortunate enough to discover and join Latinx Graduate Student Association (LGSA) at USC. There I met incredible fellow Latinx students who were kind and insightful. Like many of the members, I was welcomed and invited to socials, professional developments and general body meetings. I am honored to be recognized on their behalf in their monthly newsletter [pictured left] back in March 2021.

USC's Rossier School of Education held a week long series of events called "USC Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Week". I was fortunate to patriciate as a group facilitator for the Courageous Stories about Race and Resiliency. I was one of two facilitators for a small group of 6 that lead a conversation about intersectionality and identity. It is important to acknowledge everyone holistically as our unique selves. Conversations can break the ice on identity amongst our peers, work places and society.
